How long have you been selling real estate in Marin County? Karin
has been selling for 33 years and Peter for 25 years with a combined
experience of 58 years in selling only Marin real estate.
Do you have an area of primary focus? We
intentionally chose to work in the centrally located Greenbrae office
because we have found over the years that this allows us to market
properties and draw buyers from all over Marin, which is what sellers
want. We sell homes from Sausalito to Novato and find our market
strategies effective in all of these areas. In addition, the Greenbrae
office of Frank Howard Allen has been the top producing office of all
real estate offices in Marin for several years.
Do you work more as a listing or a buyer's agent?
85% of the homes we sell are our listings. We do work with qualified
buyers since we get numerous calls from buyers and our sellers are
often looking to relocate within the county. We also have an
experienced buyer's agent on our team who is available for showing our
listings and allows us to spend more time marketing our listings.
How many homes do you sell a year? We sold 22 homes in 2007. The average agent in Marin sells 10 homes a year.
What is your list to sales ratio?
Our average is 98.9%. This means we sell our listings at an average of
98.9% of list price. The average agent sells at 96% of sales price. On
a million dollar sales price that would mean the seller would receive
$29,000 more by working with us!
