America’s Cup 2013 San Francisco Bay
The next race for the 2013 series kicks off on July 4th with the Louis Vuitton Cup Semi-Finals. Running through September 1st this series will offer 2 whole months of races for you to enjoy on the Bay! Four teams will battle against the reigning champions ORACLE TEAM USA. The America’s Cup Finals, with ORACLE TEAM USA against the winner of the Louis Vuitton Cup, will run from September 7th to the 22nd and features a new format with nearly twice as much racing! Stephen Barclay, the CEO of the 34th America’s Cup gushed, “The amount of racing we’re going to have on the SF Bay is simply phenomenal. The competition is going to be spectacular, the racing will be close, and spectators will be a part of the action with the shoreline along the city front literally making up one of the race course boundaries.” If you are interested in watching the races the AC Village for the 2013 season will be located at the Marina Green or visit the AC Parks at Piers 27-29. For the first time in the 162-year history of the America’s cup the races are all staged within the confines of the SF Bay! Don’t miss this opportunity to witness beautiful catamarans going full throttle so close to shore, within shouting distance even! The map below will give you a better idea of where to watch!
