You may have noticed that everyone is painting the interior of their house white these days. It's the perfect blank canvas for staging, lighting, etc. When we are prepping a listing for sale, I wish we could tell our guy to "just paint it white." We have to be sensitive to the fact that Benjamin Moore alone has more than 150 different shades of white. Our go-to is the Chantilly Lace for interior paint, but White Ice or White Dove are just as popular. Interesting fact about White Dove: if left on the shelf for more than 2 years, you can no longer do touch ups with it. The color will begin to shift in the can over time. This can result in a costly mistake if you do a "touch-up day" around the house. Now if you really want to go off the rails you can go with Emerald Vapor or Cake Batter. As you can see, my job is extremely exciting and I'm having a great time. Learning really thrilling stuff like this represents one of the many ways I can help.
